Framed Up To Lose Voice_
A friend of mine was swallowed by a scandal — whispers turned into wildfire, and everyone came with matches to escalate it. The real culprit wore a mask of angelic innocence, manipulating others into believing they were the victim. I told my friend to be still. He couldn’t. He tried to explain, defend, and plead. But every word was twisted, and every truth was repurposed to fit the accusation. Even his pastor turned his search for solace and solution into a sermon and guilt-tripping spectacle. He suffered greatly and lost most of his support base. Silence wasn’t a choice anymore but was all that he had left. And in that silence, he saw clearly: closeness isn’t loyalty, and applause isn’t purpose. He stopped seeking validation and began to rediscover himself. He gave up unnecessary roles, fake relationships, his own pretenses, and the need to be understood.
Years later, the truth surfaced — not through justice, but through the infighting of his accusers. He didn’t feel vindicated; he felt grateful. Because silence had given him something louder than defense: clarity, healing, growth, and a deeper alignment with who he was meant to be — an embrace of authenticity and purpose.
Reflectintrospection
When fear corners us, instinct kicks in — fight, flee, freeze, or frantically reach for comfort. We plead, posture, and perform. It feels like power, but it is just panic in disguise.
What are our real choices?
1. React or reflect.
2. Let fear drive the moment, or let faith hold the wheel.
Choosing faith and reflection often requires silence.
Silence isn’t surrender. It is a strategy. It is the brave pause when everything inside screams for action. In stillness, we see what noise hides — motives, patterns, and truths that rush can’t reveal.
Silence gathers evidence. It preserves dignity. It lets the story unfold without our interference. And often, that is when the truth finally steps forward.
Truth strips people, things, positions, places, titles, and situations bare, making what once appeared so special and worthy of our attention become so ordinary, leaving us to wonder why we were so fixated on them in the first place.
Indeed, our loud voices may amplify how to speak, but our silence teaches what is worth saying. In quiet, we see who was grieving, who was scheming, and who disappeared when the spotlight dimmed.
Stillness won’t always shield us from harm. But it gives us clarity, patience, and power that lasts longer than any outburst. It is uncomfortable — but discomfort is a wise teacher.
So, next time the walls close in, don’t rush. Breathe. Watch. Wait. Let silence speak first. Not because we are weak — but because wisdom whispers before it roars.
Don’t waste words over what action must deal with decisively.
What was originally meant to break us has the potential to build us. Don’t waste the process; grow through it! Discern, decide and deploy into destiny.
Serenity Prayer
Dear Lord,
whenever we are afraid, teach us to trust You more.
In stillness, fight our battles for us. Let Your justice weed out the fake and align us with what is true and authentic. Amen.
