Importers and Exporters Association Commends Bank of Ghana’s Leadership

The leadership of the Importers and Exporters Association of Ghana (IEAG) has paid a courtesy call on the Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr. Johnson Pandit Asiama, at the Bank Square in Accra.

The delegation, led by the Association’s Executive Secretary, Mr. Samson Awingobit Asaki, was received by the Second Deputy Governor, Mrs. Matilda Asante-Asiedu.

Mr. Awingobit lauded the Central Bank’s strong leadership in stabilising the cedi and improving Ghana’s macroeconomic outlook. He further praised the Bank’s policies under Dr. Asiama’s stewardship, while calling for additional support to address challenges within the import and export sector that require the Bank’s intervention.

In response, Governor Asiama reaffirmed the Bank of Ghana’s commitment to supporting the business community, stressing that the institution would continue to pursue policies that promote economic stability and growth.
