As anticipation builds in Cape Coast, excitement is sweeping across communities ahead of the much-anticipated Love Ghana Festival, a major all-embracing religious event expected to draw thousands of participants.
For many—especially within the Christian community—the festival presents a unique opportunity to actively express their God-given talents in a collective effort to inspire change and win souls. The initiative, spearheaded by the Global Network of Evangelists, is designed to create a platform where individuals can celebrate and share God’s love through diverse forms of engagement.
Pre-event activities are already underway across the city, including floats, clean-up exercises, community outreaches, street talent showcases, and radio discussions. These activities not only build momentum but also encourage community participation and social responsibility.
Speaking at an Executive Business and Government Luncheon held at the Pempamsie Hotel, African Catalyst for the Global Network of Evangelists, Pastor Edward Mungai, emphasized that the festival is centered on celebrating what he described as “the world’s greatest gift” and extending its message of love to all.
He commended church leaders in Cape Coast for their unwavering commitment and unity, noting that the festival seeks to strengthen existing collaboration among believers and key stakeholders, including civil society groups and security agencies. He further encouraged Christian leaders to remain steadfast in their devotion and mission.
Renowned author and evangelist, Bob Lenz, also shared his enthusiasm about the initiative, praising local church leadership for placing faith at the forefront of their work. He urged residents to actively participate in the movement, describing it as a powerful opportunity to positively influence lives.
The Mayor of Cape Coast, George Justice Arthur, welcomed the initiative, highlighting its potential to shape society and reduce social vices, particularly among the youth. He noted that programs of this nature contribute significantly to moral development and community cohesion.
The Mayor also raised concerns about rising cases of irresponsible parenting and teenage parenthood in the metropolis, describing them as threats to the development of human capital. He called on religious leaders and stakeholders to use their platforms to educate and positively influence the younger generation.
Beyond its spiritual focus, the festival is also expected to contribute to local development by leveraging Cape Coast’s rich heritage, including iconic sites such as the Cape Coast Castle, to promote tourism and broader community engagement.
The Love Ghana Festival is scheduled to officially run from March 26 to March 29, 2026, and is expected to attract thousands from Cape Coast and surrounding areas. Organizers have promised an impactful experience, with a range of activities and giveaways aimed at fostering unity, hope, and transformation.
