The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SoPPS) at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) has held a three-day staff retreat at the Nyansapon Eco Resort in Moree, situated in the Abura/Asebu/Kwamankese District of the Central Region.

The retreat, which brought together academic and administrative staff, sought to review the School’s performance during the past academic year and to outline strategic measures for future development.
As part of the retreat, participants discussed a five-year Action Plan designed to guide the School’s academic growth, research initiatives, and administrative efficiency. The sessions also provided a platform to identify key challenges facing various departments and to develop practical solutions ahead of the new academic year.
A significant portion of the discussions focused on a draft curriculum for the proposed Pharmacy Graduate Entry Medical Programme (GEMP), which aims to expand the School’s academic offerings and enhance interdisciplinary collaboration within the health sciences.
Officials from the School expressed optimism that the retreat’s outcomes would strengthen institutional performance and improve teaching and research delivery in the coming years.
