The Ghana Education Service (GES) has cautioned the public to disregard a fake recruitment letter currently circulating on social media, claiming financial clearance has been granted for the recruitment of 50,000 teaching and non-teaching staff.
In a statement issued today and signed by the Head of Public Relations, Daniel Fenny, GES described the letter as false and emphasized that it did not originate from the Service.
“Management wishes to state that the letter is fake and did not originate from GES. No such recruitment exercise has been announced yet,” the statement clarified.
GES further explained that any official announcement regarding recruitment will be communicated only through its official channels and those of the Ministry of Education.
The Service also urged the public to disregard the fake letter and report any fraudulent activities associated with it to the appropriate authorities.
This warning comes in response to growing incidents of misinformation and fraudulent activities targeting job seekers, particularly in the education sector.
