In a statement signed by William Yamoah, Secretary to the Presidential Elections Committee, the party confirmed that all five vetted aspirants have been invited to participate in the exercise, which will determine their order on the ballot sheet for the crucial internal election.
The five aspirants cleared by the committee are:
-

-
Ken Ohene Agyapong, Member of Parliament for Assin Central

-
Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, former NPP General Secretary
The statement commended the aspirants for successfully completing the vetting process and urged them to continue demonstrating the spirit of unity, tolerance, and democratic maturity that defines the NPP’s internal electoral tradition.

The Elections Committee further requested that all aspirants acknowledge receipt of the invitation and contact the secretariat for any additional information or clarification regarding the process.
The NPP’s presidential primary is expected to be a decisive moment as the party seeks to elect a new flagbearer to lead it into the 2026 general elections. With high public interest and a competitive field of seasoned politicians, the October 10 balloting will mark a key milestone in what promises to be one of the most watched internal elections in Ghana’s political calendar.
