The Sakumono District Police Command has arrested three suspects in connection with a shooting incident and unlawful entry at the Celebrity Golf Club in Sakumono, Accra.
The suspects — Abubakar Mohammed, aged 28, Eric Asare, aged 23, and Felix Darko, aged 48 — were apprehended on October 18, 2025, after they allegedly stormed a construction site belonging to one of the club’s executives.
According to a statement issued by the Accra Regional Police Command, preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects falsely presented themselves as National Security operatives and unlawfully discharged firearms, causing damage to sections of the property.
Police further indicated that the incident is linked to an ongoing land dispute involving some parties within the Nungua Traditional Council. The suspects are currently in custody, assisting with investigations.
The Accra Regional Police Command has cautioned all individuals and groups to refrain from acts of lawlessness, particularly in land-related conflicts. It also assured the public that those found culpable will face the full rigours of the law.
The statement was signed by Superintendent Juliana Obeng, Head of Public Affairs for the Accra Region.
