The Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie, has urged hospitality operators across Ghana to prioritize guest satisfaction and service excellence, stressing that “word of mouth goes further than adverts.”

Speaking at the 50th Anniversary Symposium of the Ghana Hotels Association (GHA) in Cape Coast, the Minister applauded the Association for its five decades of advocacy, resilience, and leadership in shaping Ghana’s tourism and hospitality landscape.
Hon. Gomashie highlighted the crucial role of customer experience in building trust and attracting repeat visitors, noting that the most powerful form of promotion remains personal recommendation.
The Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to deepening collaboration with the private sector, promoting innovation, sustainability, and digital transformation to strengthen the tourism ecosystem.

She also commended the GHA’s leadership for continuously raising service standards and championing industry excellence through initiatives such as the Black Star Experience, which celebrates Ghana’s hospitality culture and service distinction.

Hon. Gomashie emphasized that Ghana’s tourism potential depends not only on infrastructure and investment but on the consistent delivery of memorable experiences that reflect the country’s warmth, creativity, and cultural richness.
