A devastating fire on Tuesday morning gutted a room in one of the boys’ dormitories at Kadjebi-Asato Senior High School in the Oti Region, leaving several students exhausted as they scrambled to salvage their belongings.
The blaze, which reportedly started around 9 a.m., quickly consumed the dormitory room, destroying all possessions and burning the roofing structure. By the time firefighters contained the fire, nothing in the affected room could be saved.
The incident highlights the urgent need for improved fire-fighting resources in the area to prevent similar disasters in the future.
