Gyam Group Renovates Children’s Side-Ward at Cape Coast Teaching Hospital

A major boost has been given to child healthcare delivery at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital following the renovation of the children’s side-ward by Gyam Group of Companies as part of its corporate social responsibility commitment.

The intervention is expected to provide a more conducive, safe and child-friendly environment for healthcare delivery, reinforcing the importance of quality infrastructure in improving treatment outcomes for children.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer of Gyam Group of Companies, Ebenezer Ankomah Gyamera, said the company chose to focus on the children’s side-ward because children represent the future leaders of the nation and deserve the best possible start in life.

According to him, while the commitment and professionalism of health workers at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital remain invaluable, the environment in which care is delivered is equally critical to achieving full recovery and overall wellness.

He stressed that creating a dignified and supportive healing space for children is not optional but essential, noting that improved healthcare environments can significantly enhance comfort, hope and the healing process for both patients and their families.

The renovation has already been welcomed as a meaningful contribution toward strengthening child healthcare services in the region.

Parents whose children access care at the facility, together with the management of Cape Coast Teaching Hospital, expressed profound gratitude to Gyam Group of Companies for the gesture.

They described the intervention as timely and impactful, noting that it will improve the hospital experience for children and provide reassurance to families during difficult moments.

The initiative stands as a strong example of how corporate institutions can complement public healthcare efforts through targeted social investments that directly touch lives.

As Ghana continues to prioritise improved healthcare delivery, partnerships between the private sector and public institutions remain crucial in building healthier communities and securing a stronger future for the next generation.
